HANDLING GUIDE FOR LIMES

Available year-around.
Ordering
• Pack Weight: 40lbs net lime weight per box or RPC.
• Lime counts: 150s, 175s, 200s, 250s, etc.
• Most common promotional sizes are 175s, 200s &
230s.
• Limes may be ordered in boxes, bags, RPCs or specialty
packs. Bagged limes in RPCs or cartons are 17/2 lbs and 30/1lbs.
 Costs
vary throughout the year but are somewhat consistent in Summer,
when there is an abundance of fruit from Mexico. Limes can
be packaged in boxes, bags or in RPCs. We can also provide
specialty packs on request.
Storage & Handling
Upon receiving the fruit it should be inspected for quality,
appearance (good green color), size, count and good juice
content (minimum of 42%). Limes should be held at 48°-
50° F
Display
Train your staff to recognize true lime sizes (150s, 175,s,
200s). We can provide you with a color sizing chart. Shelf-life
estimates vary but a conservative approximation is that the
fruit can be stored in a backroom cooler for 10 days and can
be displayed in your produce department for 5-8 days. More
